what is couples therapy?

Couples therapy supports partnered clients in exploring the relational dance present between them. Oftentimes, we fall into familiar patterns within a relationship that feel in conflict with our own needs, and those of our partner(s) as well - That sense of feeling out of alignment, the constant miscommunication, or experiences of not feeling seen, heard or truly known; this is what we call 'you vs me' consciousness. At On Point Therapy, our modern approach to couples therapy combines contemporary polyvagal theory, attachment theory, and relational mindfulness to bring greater awareness to the opportunities for 'Us' consciousness to thrive. We pride ourselves on bringing a fresh new perspective to couples therapy that moves beyond outdated approaches to traditional relationship counselling. Get in touch to find out how...
